Cabrillo College lab technician Tasha Sturm grew this sample of the microbes found one her 8-year-old son’s hand after he was outside playing. Skin, your body’s largest organ, hosts a huge diversity of microorganisms that is constantly changing as it comes into contact with new microbes.
